Our family has been in the restaurant business for three generations since the 1960's. Uncle Timmy started it all back in 1969 when he developed one of the first and arguably the best gyro in the country. In 1994 he retired and passed down the family recipes to his brother Bill who established Little Athens in Bucyrus Ohio. His son Chris aka "The Greek Hillbilly" took over in 2012 and has taken their legacy to the next level. Three generations of family recipes, our commitment to serving excellent Greek food for over 50 years has made Little Athens an Ohio landmark.
Our concept has always been great food, fast service, at a reasonable price. We take pride in preparing our family recipes from scratch everyday making Little Athens a unique and flavorful experience for all restaurant enthusiasts near and far. Our unique atmosphere in our facility is decorated with local artwork and family history. We also offer lightning fast carry out service and sidewalk seating in the summer.
The Gasuras family started their first business in Bucyrus Ohio when Uncle Pete's Shoeshine opened in 1921 almost a century ago. Later his nephew Bill Gasuras established Little Athens in 1994 followed by his son Chris who took over the family business in 2012.
